In addition to discussions with the child and their parents/guardians, and clinical observations, we use a variety of assessment tools, including:

Bruininks Oseretsky - Test of Motor Proficiency, used for assessing a range of difficutlies including big whole body movements and smaller more refined movements of the hands.

Miller Assessment for Pre-schoolers - evaluating young children for mild to moderate developmental delays.

Movement Assessment Battery for Children (Movement ABC), - identifies, describes and guides treatment of motor impairment.

Perceived Efficacy and Goal Setting System (PEGS) - involves children and families in identifying functional priorities for intervention, such as using a knife and fork, tying shoelaces and riding a bike.

Visual Motor Integration test (VMI), and Wide Ranging Visual Motor Assessment (WRVMA) - assesses visual perceptual skills which are essential for handwriting.
